Durazo Construction Services, Inc. (DCS) is a general construction company specializing in commercial, retail, medical and food service tenant improvement contracts. Taking on design-build projects is a DCS specialty; working closely with architects, property managers and especially building departments. DCS manages their team of subcontractors and vendors to provide their clients with quality construction.
DCS is a California licensed general building contractor; classifications include a B- General Building Contractor, C- Drywall , and C-33 Paint and Decorating, as well as a Home Improvement Certification.
Art Durazo is the founder and president of Durazo Construction Services, Inc. Art began his construction career in 1970, working in the residential construction industry. In 1982 he started Durazo Drywall, specializing in production drywall finish. With hard work, dedication and a reputation for getting the job done on time and within budget, he has built the company into what it is today. Art’s work is his hobby. He is a supporter of several local school PTAs and youth athletic organizations. His motto is “Release the rabbit and the dog will run!”
JR Durazo joined his father, Art, in 2012 as a Project Manager, having 20 plus years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to returning to California, JR was a licensed Building Contractor in Charlotte, North Carolina specializing in upscale kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Throughout the years, JR’s service within the community includes volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, leading teens with Team Effort Camps repairing and remodeling homes for people in need, many years as a Softball coach, and Board member of Hand in Hand TEC, to name a few. Jr has been married since 1991 and has a son with a degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a daughter who recently graduated with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Arizona State University. In his spare time, JR enjoys boating, watching Netflix, and spending time with his family.
